11:57 pm - one min. 'till tomorrow
SO yeah i'd just like to say that i am now a proud owner of a Nintendo Wii.  To those of you that already have one, get ready!  Phil and I have been searching for one for about 6 months now and have come as close as being 15 mins. too late to having one, until now.  Not only did the Wii come with 4 controllers, but it also came with 15 games.  i'm so stoked!!!  as if i didn't have a life already, i'm going to be even more of a game nerd than i already am!!!

i better get rested up though, i'm exhausted from all of this working and planning simultaneously.  it's ass.  anyway...  anyone who's interested in Wii games, ring me!

07:16 pm - happy holidays!
i wanted to say happy holidays to everyone that reads this.  i hope it is a great holiday for you and safe travels out there!  this whole getting dark early thing is really getting to me.  i get so confused when i look outside at 5:00 p.m. and it's dark.  i feel like it's 8:00 p.m.

if you're into coffee like i am, you should try the millstone peppermint coffee (not mocha) from the grocery store.  it's delightful and perfect for the holidays.  cheers.

11:00 am - making it happen
i wish i had more time to tell you the week i've had.  everyone knows when you move, it's just bad news, luck, or whatever you want to call it.  so far i can't think of anything else that could've gone wrong in the entire process of our move.  a good thing is that we didn't move very far, and we also rented our 2nd bedroom to my best friend so i can't really complain.  but just to give you a little insight as to how i'm feeling right now, here goes.

first off, we (me and my fiancee) had no clue we were moving as soon as we did.  we knew we were about to, but the actual date wasn't set.  he and i were at his dad's house an hour and a half away when we get a phone call saying we have to be moved out of our current house by the end of the week (end of the week being saturday, today being tuesday).  let the anxiety begin.  being out of town, we do everything we can to find places back home.  this is frustrating because his parents have dial-up... sigh.  like i was saying, we make appointments to look at several different houses/apartments.  we go and look at 2, one 1 bdrm, one 2 bdrm, same price.  the one we liked the best didn't allow dogs; no dog, no house.  so that left us with the other, which was fine.  we decide to let my best friend rent the 2nd bedroom.  so we end up moving in the next day.  the fact that we weren't moving far made us think that we didn't need boxes, our fault.  but the most frustrating part of it all was that my POS car was going on 7 stationary months in the driveway.  more to come on that later.

everyone knows that when one moves, you have to set up various appointments for installation such as power, water, internet, and/or cable.  this was a hassle in itself.  for some reason, the power company misunderstood our leasing agents and turned our power off at 3:00 on a saturday.  perfect timing so that i can't get to the bank to pay the deposit to get it turned back on.  we had previously been told that our power wouldn't be turned off until the following week of our move, false.  we are forced to wait until monday in which case we pay the bill 1st thing (after going to 3 different locations to get automatic payment) and are then told that they (duke power) don't do same day service.  now we have to wait until tuesday.  power doesn't come on tuesday until 8:45 p.m.  and it's been 30-40 degrees outside everyday for the last 2 weeks.  oh yeah about the car
, when we started the diesel up to move it, the battery was dead.  thank you will for being there with jumper cables.  i guess i deserve that after it sat there for months upon end.

i know you're getting jealous but also during the move, my fiancee's powercord to his computer decides not to charge his laptop anymore.  because we don't have power, we go to panera to use the internet and to eat broccoli and cheddar soup (my fav) and they're out.  so then we order 2 croissants to find that they're hard as bricks, he exchanges them for bagels and while he's picking my everything bagel up to hand to me, he drops it on the floor.  i wake up the next morning, and my cell phone has been shut off with no warning or bill,  i go to the nc dmv to get my driver's license and they put me through the written test b/c i'm from out of state, and i fail.  does anyone else agree that they ask you questions that don't pertain to driving?  i mean C'MON!

in conclusion as my subject line states, i'm determined to make things go forward in a positive manner.  we have power now along with internet and we are officially out of the old place.  in other words, i'm done with you bad luck!
